On November 1, 1997, the monument to Stamen Panchev was moved to its original place in the city centre on Osvobozhdenie Square. Architecturally, the monument is composed of welded granite blocks. The bas-relief with the bust of the poet is cast in bronze and is the work of the famous sculptor Yanko Pavlov. Below it, on the granite pedestal, there are carved stanzas from the poem „My Son“.
