Thorn Tortoise

Thorn Tortoise (Testudo Graeca) – The thorn tortoise reaches a weight of up to 7 kg (the most giant registered thorn tortoise was caught in Bulgaria). The thorn tortoise prefers grassy terrain, unlike the thorn-tailed tortoise, which is typical of rare forests. The thorn tortoise is active during the day. It feeds mainly on grass and fallen berries, rarely on invertebrates.
